Program Update 4 siblings

No movement, its been the same date for a couple of months. I went back and looked at the referrals. There haven't been many sibling referrals with one child being an infant. Do we continue to hold out for one infant and one under four or do we change our request? If we don't receive a referral by July we most likely won't be able to travel until October or November because the courts in Ethiopia close for 6 weeks around September.
Where's the magic eight ball when you need it?

Well, here's the thing. Personally I think infants are highly overrated. But you KNOW how I feel about babies! And having an infant is no insurance policy. Well, you can be pretty sure an infant won't be potty trained...but plenty of these older children will be happy to wet the bed for you. And an infant has to be watched every minute of the day...but so does my 12 year old. An infant is pretty soft and snuggly...but all of my adopted girls suck up every snuggle they're offered, and then some. I think you get what you get, because that's what God has for you, and how they come to you or how old they are when you meet them for the first time has not a lot to do with it in the end. So if you broaden your search a little, you might get nothing new, or you might fall in love with the most unlikely kids. You just never know. Like what am I doing with four more GIRLS!!

A fellow Connecticut-ian! How exciting! Where in CT do you live? We live in Wilton (near Westport.) After you get your kids home, it would be fun for them and my sister to meet!

I hope you get your referral soon!!!!

Personally I would LOVE to move back to New England! CT would be perfect as it has great homeschool laws. But alas, I don't know how we would afford to live...there are a lot of us now you know! Maybe you can find us a good situation in all your spare time. I was thinking of you this morning and wishing we were close enough for our children to grow up together. We are having the girls baptized, and need godparents, and you guys are the natural choice. I don't know...I wish God would lay it all out a little more clearly at times!
